In this skit, he adopted the persona of Tom Homan, who is portrayed as Trump’s Border Czar. Interestingly, in real life, Homan has been actively attempting to bridge the gap between ICE agents and residents of Minneapolis. However, Davidson's rendition quickly highlighted the challenges Homan faces in this role as he interacts with the ICE officers.
"Let’s discuss the use of force," Homan prompts the ICE agents. "When do we think it’s appropriate to use force?"
One agent, played by Jeremy Culhane, responds bluntly, "Right away?"
Homan counters, "No, try to think of the opposite."
Another agent, played by Andrew Dismukes, chimes in, seemingly on the same wavelength, "Right: preemptively."
Homan shoots that down as well, saying, "That’s also incorrect. It’s somewhat of a trick question because our ultimate goal is to avoid using force altogether. Remember, our mission is to protect America from… what exactly?"
An agent portrayed by James Austin Johnson tries to contribute earnestly, stating, "This may be incorrect, but… Don Lemon?"
Davidson's version of Homan quickly loses patience, snapping back, "You’ve really got to step it up. I’m the one known for separating families at the border. I’m the guy caught on film accepting a $50,000 bribe, and yet here you all are, making me appear to be the sensible adult in this scenario. That’s absurd!"
The humor continued with Johnson’s character summarizing the stark reality of the situation, saying, "You hired a group of angry, aggressive individuals, handed us firearms, and didn’t provide any training. So, is this the outcome you were aiming for?"
